  1995.5 - 1997.3 大连理工大学土木·水利博士后流动站 博士后，96年晋升为研究员
  1997.4 - 2000.7 哈尔滨建筑大学（现哈尔滨工业大学）组合结构研究室主任，99年被遴选为博士生导师
  2000.8 - 2005.6 福州大学特聘教授、博士生导师，04年开始任土木建筑工程学院副院长（分管科研和研究生培养工作）
  2005.7 - 今 清华大学教授、博士生导师（05年入选清华大学"百人引进计划"）
